Transportation

Saint Mary's University is approximately a 40-minute drive away from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport:

  • The Airporter Shuttle Service runs fairly regularly from the airport to downtown for $19.50 one-way or $36.00 return.
  • Taxi service is available curbside in the arrivals area. A one-way trip downtown is $53.00.
  • There is also a MetroX bus leaving every half hour on the quarter hour. The cost is $3.25 one way.

Parking

For those looking to park on campus, there is a $5/day fee. If you'd like us to arrange the parking pass on your behalf, please email Florence Woolaver with your name, license plate number, and province of registration before noon of July 13. Payment can be made on the 16th (please bring the exact amount in cash). IMPORTANT: The Arena parking lot is currently closed due to construction. Please download the campus map to see where you can park.

Schedule

See the requirements for the workshop here. We will start at 09:00 and end at 16:30 each day. Coffee breaks are included with the workshop, and will be at:

  • 10:15-10:30
  • 14:45-15:00

Lunch

In order to save time and stay on schedule, we recommend a few locations on the campus. Please follow this link to get a list of places where you can have lunch at SMU. The food court in the Student building is closed for the summer. Gorsebrook is not open Monday. The Dockside offers a good variety and can manage a crowd better than the Faculty Lounge.
