| Legacy documentation
This page describes a service provided by a retired ACENET system. Most ACENET services are currently provided by national systems, for which please visit https://docs.computecanada.ca.
The legacy SGI cluster at MUN is comprised of 3 SGI Altix 350 machines, used primarily for quad-precision and Gaussian work. Accounts for these machines are obtained by applying for an ACENET account and specifically requesting the SGI machines. Please note that these machines are no longer supported and have very limited disk space.
Once you have an account, please read the SGI user manual before using to familiarize yourself with the setup of the machine and the use of the compilers, queueing system, etc.
