DL MESO
Legacy documentation
This page describes a service provided by a retired ACENET system. Most ACENET services are currently provided by national systems, for which please visit https://docs.computecanada.ca. |
- Short Description
- A mesoscale simulation package that supports both Lattice Boltzmann (LB) and Dissipative Particle Dynamics (DPD) methods. It is supplied with its own java based Graphical User Interface (GUI) and is capable of both serial and parallel execution.
- Version
- 2.2
- Location
/usr/local/dl_meso
- Documentation
- DL_MESO Homepage
- User Manual (pdf)
- IMPORTANT FOR ACCESS
- To use DL_MESO you must first register and agree to the terms laid out on the DL_MESO Homepage. When this is complete please contact support via email (and also send a copy of your request to admin@ace-net.ca) stating that you have registered, and you will soon be added to the
dlmeso
group.
- Any publication arising from the use of this software package must acknowledge the code.
- IMPORTANT FOR USE
- There are many differences between the DL_MESO user manual and what you will see at ACENET. Mostly you will notice that you cannot access the source code, compile the program or run it from the DL_MESO java interface. There are a few precompiled binaries provided for use:
GUI.jar - run with java -jar /usr/local/dl_meso/bin/GUI.jar
in the directory you would like to set up the system.
slbe.exe - Single processor Lattice Boltzmann method. plbe.exe - Parallel Lattice Boltzmann method.
sdpd.exe - Single processor Dissipative Partial Dynamics method.
